Don't they have double lucky/unlucky also (coupled with pick drop increase)? Those titles tie in with others and cost money also. Just saying.

And really, the fair arguement doesn't cut it. Lots of things aren't fair, but the company will do whatever it wants. People either keep playing or not.

Really at this point in the game, I'm not seeing them making monumental changes in either the game or weekend evets though.

I recommend drinking booze while vanquishing.

Don't cheapen the meaning of my drunkard title!

As others have said, it's really not a hard title to max. I'm working on my 5th drunkard title.

Get yourself a kitchen timer and go play

I'm not really the type to socialize and stand around selling things in outposts, so the comment about drinking while doing this does not sound appealing to me. So from that standpoint, I do agree that the drunkard title is a pain.

However... it IS a title... it shouldn't be an overnight thing. I think the weekend idea wouldn't be that bad, it's just a weekend. I doubt anyone could max out the drunkard title in one weekend unless they literally spent the entire weekend, day and night, playing the game.

No , lucky title is not a money sink anymore. You cant purchase that title from another player. Money sinks = Drunkard , Sweet Tooth , Party Animal. You could say EOTN faction titles are also a money sink if you pay a runner bla bla bla , and lucky is money sink because you afk in rings bla bla but not the same.

Just saying this is a thread to make that title easier for the sake of it .... as many others asking for double sweet or party or perma double fact gain weekends.

nah, i think a lot reading this are missing the point i wanted to make. What im saying is GW has weekends all the time that are double [insert title name here] points. So why not a drunk weekend? Its true you have to acquire alcohol by farming it or buying it, but its no different than the double lucky/unlucky weekends that come around every so often.

Also, as far as being "fair" goes what about people that only do RA or other hard to grind titles that actually require skill...those titles have double point weekends....Would just be awesome to see a ton of people on the weekend getting their characters blitzed.

So i am guessing you don't support any double point weekends? Or are you just a advocate for no double point weekends for drunkard? And its not making the title permanently easier to achieve. It's just a weekend event.

Technically you don't purchase titles from any player. ;P You buy the items for the title (or get them from drops) - booze, sweets, picks if someone should decide to do chest running, etc. Lucky/unlucky/etc. may not be a money sink in the fashion of other titles, but it still requires an investment.

But in anycase back on track! lol.

With the life of the game these days, I see no problem in things like these kinds of weekends. It might boost alcohol sales in preperation for an upcoming event or some other things...who knows? But as I said, most likely won't happen.

You guess too much.
A 10x weekend lucky would be "just a weekend event" but it would make title easier for those who had the chance to play it. Its no excuse that this is not "making the title permanently easier" , its just that theres no reason to do it , none except "i want my title faster" and reasons like that are not valid reasons to do something.

Lucky events are for an account wide title that has relevance ( rises your % of retaining a lockpick ) , LB/SS have skills that depend on that , Allegiance as well does ...... drunkard does not. Like i said before , no valid reason to do this imo.

eh id be in the crowd that kinda would get a little mad at a double alcohol weekend( im at 100minutes to go till r2). But, anything that can reduce grind for others and such id be happy about. I know how bad that title is( its incredibly boring to just sit there and talk w/ people all day) so i feel bad for people that have to go through with the title.

so /sign. I'd be mad that I didnt get my drunkard title with this weekend and save alot of money, but I'd be happy that other players got their titles easier ^_^.

Although I'd love to see this happen, I think its very unrealistic. As mentioned before, the title really isn't that hard to max if you just play the game lots and drink all the time. As well as this, It would do a large number of things:
-Muck up the already failing economy
-Be unfair on anyone who had already max
-Make people go "We want double party! We want double sweets! We want double.... /yawn

Yes, it'd be nice and save us all some time, but it'd hurt the game too much, therefore /unsigned

One weekend every 3 months would "muck" things up and crash the economy? I didn't realize alcohol was a huge factor in the already bad GW economy. And unfair? Fairness has nothing to do with it. Life in general isn't fair. I didn't think it was fair that people could grind HB on double reward weekends and get a title and the same can be said for RA gladiator point double weekends.
So both arguments made yourself and tennebrau against a double alcohol weekend are pretty weak. Tennebrau [sorry bc i know i misspelled that]says the drunkard title has no purpose whereas SS and LB do because these titles affect skills in the game. HOWEVER, titles like glad, champ, or any other similar titles have no actual in-game affect, but they have double weekends. So saying no to this idea because it would be unfair is a very weak argument as well as claiming it would muck up the GW economy.

This isnt life , this is a game and fariness and balance may have little importance to you but they have a value that "i want my title faster" can never match. Fact.

Double Glad , Champ and whatever are PvP titles , totally diff stuff and like i told you , account wide titles are also diff.

Dude you still are missing the point , the point is that you are making a suggestion to DO something , therefore YOU have to give a valid and logical reason to do it besides "i want my title faster" and the truth is .... you didnt give any.
It doesnt matter if you find our arguments weak , they are not. We are just telling you why do we think this shouldnt be done . Hope i made myself clear ; if you have a strong , logical and undeniable reason or fact to argue in favor of making a weekend like this , please feel free to tell us .

PS: And before you think about saying "many ppl agree with me bla bla" i´ll tell you that no , that doesnt work.

My reasons for having it are just as logical as your reasons to not have it. It shouldn't matter if titles are account wide or not, that is irrelevant. The point is it is a title and many many titles have a double point weekend regardless if they are pvp or pve..account wide or character based..and i never said anywhere that you can "quote" i want my title faster.

Drunkard is not that hard anyway, you can just zone from town to guild hall, back to town and get points easy, though some places work better than others. That is how I did it and got the title maxed in a few days. You might as well try, you don't lose anything by zoning.

How is it unfair? I got my Sunspear/LB points when it wasn't a bonus weekend and hubby waited for a bonus weekend to get his. It's no different. If we're talking fair then we need to do away with ALL bonus weekends because people often miss those or max out titles when it isn't a bonus weekend

And for the record. I'll get my titles eventually with or without the double weekends

So with all the festivals and nicholas there is still not enough booze to be farmed or on the market ?

I keep hearing less grind is good and i have a solution for that.

If GW2 will have a title rank as in GW1 they should come out with the gwamm Edition, then all you have to do is press /gwamm and there you go.
it would be in lowercase so everybody can see you did it the less grind way but that shouldn't matter should it ?

And for the rest of us that actually have done the work for it we'll just get the title when we have earned it and that would be in uppercase GWAMM.

Making the titles easier to get using the grind excuse makes the titles worthless and is getting a little old.
Or you go for the titles or not, it's as simple as that.

read the posts before posting please this isn't about gwamm.

Thanks for the posts everyone but i think so far if we the payers had a choice it would be a split decision. I however believe every title deserves a double weekend instead of just a few. GW has chosen account wide and character based titles to run double point weekends for but not for all of the titles. This i find frustrating because that in itself is not balanced.

Keep the posts coming and feel free to divulge opinions as long as it is not a rage/flame. Remember, this is a discussion, not a flame fest of ideologies.

Actually.... His post was completely relevant and on-topic. He is merely saying that people keep asking for less grind less grind and that is going to take whatever prestige there is left in titles and make them "boring and worthless".

So title with double point weekends are worthless? Becasue thats all this thread is about. If some but not all titles have double point weekends that's not right. Plus would be awesome to see 1k people in gtob dis all drunk.

P.S. Lena...how many accts do you have now?
